Do Not Believe The Media Debate Polls

Do not believe the media's V.P. debate polls. Watching the debate, I was anticipating a blood letting. We had all been subjected to Palins interview with Katie Couric. When the debate started, Plain rose to the occasion.

Palin connected with middle America. She is real and identifies with every day Americans in a way no slick talking politician can. She is refreshingly an outsider. She brings Main Street values and experiences to the table. Palin was able to relate what she did to bring reform to Alaska as their first female Governor. She was successful in Alaska, and she will be successful as Vice President.

Biden managed to keep his self promoting, righteousness in check. He did manage to distort McCain's record with innuendo and falsehoods. Such as his claims on clean coal, and McCain's vote on troop funding.

I was disgusted by Senator Bidens attempt to exploit the tragedy that claimed the lives of his first wife and daughter. He claims that they were killed by a drunk driver. He does so, for political gain. The record indicates that is not true.

In truth, there was no finding of alcohol being involved in this tragic incident. In fact, some investigators thought at the time that the accident was caused by Biden's wife pulling out into the intersection not having seen Dunn's truck bearing down upon her. It was simply a horrible accident with no blame saying Dunn was at fault, much less drunk. Now, I suppose for a politician looking for the sympathy vote, saying your wife was killed by a drunk is better than saying that your wife made a fatal mistake behind the wheel. But the truth says something else, entirely contradicting Biden's great campaign soundbites.

"The rumor about alcohol being involved by either party, especially the truck driver, is incorrect," said Jerome O. Herlihy, a Delaware Superior Court judge who was chief deputy attorney general and worked with crash investigators in 1972.

As for the polling. These are not scientific polls. They reflect a flood of Obama supporters texting and emailing their support of their ticket.
